Kappa Beta Gamma makes great things happen not only in its members’ lives, but also in the lives of people around the world. We take immense pride in our efforts to build and strengthen community service initiatives that reach out to those near and far.
Kappa Beta Gamma's international philanthropy is Special Olympics. Each year, every chapter across US and Canada holds events to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport, every day, everywhere. The Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with nearly 4 million athletes in more than 170 countries -- and millions more volunteers and supporters. The Special Olympics is a global social movement.
Along with a national philanthropy, each chapter chooses a local philanthropy to support. This local philanthropy usually has a connection to the chapter personally.
Kappa Beta Gamma - Alpha Iota has chosen the YWCA Lethbridge as our chapter philanthropy. Each year Alpha Iota raises money through fundraisers to donate to such a wonderful organization.
The YWCA Lethbridge and District is an organization that strives to enhance the lives of women in the community through programs and services provided which empower them, support equality and promote wellness in mind, body, and spirit.
